Goodfoodnewjersey stopped by the Somerdale location of 1,000 Degrees Pizzeria to try their pizza. They promote themselves by selling fresh, daily made dough, sauces and toppings to create your own pizza or choose from one of the 14 different creations.
We chose to get the “Johnny the Meatball” and a “Buffalo Chicken” both in a 10″ size. The dough was already prepared and ready for the toppings. We were asked if we wanted extra toppings or to exchange for other toppings for each pizza. We added bacon to the Buffalo Chicken but left the meatball pizza as is. The sauces and toppings took a total of 10 minutes to put together and then another 2 minutes to cook in the fire oven. Taking our pizza home to eat, we were in and out of the pizzeria within 15 minutes, which was not expected but greatly appreciated.
If we were to choose between the two, the Buffalo Chicken would be the winner, not by much though. Both crusts we found uninspiring, with little flavor. The toppings on the Buffalo Chicken was full of flavor with the added bacon, ranch and blue cheese but the chicken did not taste fresh and would have been better shredded. The toppings on the meatball pizza were also lacking flavor and could be described as just average at best.
The service was very friendly and quick. The price with a coupon for 2 pizzas and drinks was under $20.
