Located in a small group of stores in a strip mall is Anemos. Greek cuisine served in a white-cloth atmosphere. Stopping in for lunch we were greeted and immediately seated. Short-time later our drink orders were taken and grilled pita bread with butter and olive oil served.
Starting off with appetizers, Kolokythokeftedes: zucchini, mint & pistachio fritters served with tzatziki. Nice presentation, tzatziki was flavorful and very refreshing. Struggled to find the mint or pistachio was also a bit greasy. Bessy’s Oysters, baked in what was described as a warm bruschetta, basil & melted Greek cheeses. Oyster on its own had superior flavor. Did enjoy the tomato and basil flavoring. Far too much cheese for eating in one bite with cheese taking over the dish. We pulled the cheese away taking just some and it was excellent.
Entree’s our first Athenian Crepè, kaseri cheese, mushroom, tomato, pepper & ham. Super blend of ingredients, well balanced flavors, crepe was superior. We paired with fries that were crisp with freshly cut flavor.
Spanakopita> phyllo, spinach, leeks, greens, feta & dill. Complex flavor and well-balanced. Super flaky phyllo. Paired with a spring mix salad and a fantastic bold balsamic vinaigrette.
Baklava we decided on taking home for dessert was a fantastic interpretation and one we’d love to get again.
Pricing very good for the large portions. Service was on point and courteous.
