NO LONGER IN BUSINESS ūüôĀ

GFNJ visited the Barrington Coffee House which is under new ownership since our reader submitted review. Lunch grill closes at 1:30 p.m. according to their sign and we got in under the wire. Very friendly service and fast made for a great overall experience. Ordered two sandwiches a Chicken Panini and a BLT on rye. Both sandwiches large and super fresh ingredients. Also ordered a cup of chili, very meaty nice mild tomato flavor, perfect for a cold day. $2.00 slice of cheesecake to go, creamy and enjoyed the graham cracker crust.

Definately worth a try, pricing under $30.00 for all the above.

Old ownership. Closed and reopened, see above.

The Barrington Coffee House is a cute, little coffee-house that also sells breakfast, lunch and dinner. They offer a full menu including bagels, breakfast sandwiches, paninis, wraps etc. plus an array of coffees, teas, cappuccino, and espresso. The staff is always pleasant and warm, greeting their customers even from the kitchen area. It is open from 6am-2pm Sunday through Saturday, but there is an open mike night on Thursdays so they are open until 11pm.

The place has many regulars in the early morning but at lunchtime, we found ourselves to be the only ones there.  For lunch, we chose the Chicken Italiano Panini and the Chicken Dijon Wrap but we were told that they were out of tomatoes for the day. Both dishes came with a side of potato chips and a cup of pickles. The wrap was full of chicken, Dijon dressing, lettuce and apple-smoked bacon (minus the tomatoes). There was an abundance of lettuce but overall the wrap was very tasty. The Panini was excellent in flavor. It was made up of strips of chicken, pesto, roasted peppers, mozzarella and parmesan cheese on a grilled sourdough bread. There were supposed to be mushrooms in it also but none were added. My only complaint, other than the  mushrooms, is that the sandwich lacked filling. The sandwich cost $8 and the wrap was $6, I would have hoped that the sandwich would have been packed for the price.

The staff was very friendly as always and the food was very flavorful. I would definitely go back and try more of their menu items, everything sounded delicious.

Barrington Coffee House

Since the coffee house has reopened, I couldn’t have been more pleased. It is under a new owner but has some of the same wait staff there. I’ve been dropping in for breakfast lately and their bagel, egg, sausage breakfast sandwiches are absolutely delicious. The new owners seem to be doing well learning the business and are always extremely pleasant and welcoming. Thanks for reopening!!!!

Barrington Coffee House

I found your review to be very accurate, the coffee house is a very warm and inviting place to spend some time. I enjoy their coffee and an occasional bagel in the morning. I decided to give their lunch menu a try. As soon as I began to look at the menu, the wait person said that maybe I should hear all of the things they were out of before I made my choice. Well the list was very long including cream cheese, ham, turkey, bacon, eggs, croissants etc. That made my decision very easy so I walked out. For a Saturday, the business should have gone to the store to stock up. Maybe I will try again, hopefully this isn’t the norm.
