Trip through Antique Row in Mullica Hill stopped for lunch at Blue Plate. Quaint restaurant that also serves breakfast and dinner. Good sized lunch menu with weekly listed specials. Ordered the Crab Bisque Soup, BLT and the Holtzhauser Sandwich.
Both sandwiches came with homemade chips, potato and veggie. The chips are worth the trip, super fresh and great flavor! The Crab Bisque Soup was loaded with crab, rich and creamy. Loved it, downside was brought out with meal and not served first.
Holtzhauser Sandwich> unique offering of eye roast beef, sliced fresh peaches on a focaccia bread with horseradish cream. Tons of meat almost to the point of too much, struggling to get any flavor of the horseradish. Peaches and meat needed some zip from some more horseradish. Focaccia Bread stated in menu grilled which didn’t seem to be, a bit dry.
The BLT had plenty of high quality bacon, fresh tomato and lettuce. Nicely constructed above average club sandwich. The fresh potato chips, big flavor!
Service was friendly but did border on the slow and late delivery of soup. Nice atmosphere with the food being above average, worth a try if you are in the area.
