On the Atlantic City Boardwalk at California Ave is where you will find Bungalow Restaurant & Hookah Lounge. Dine inside or out we chose inside, white clothed tables, modern look. Menu moderate in size offering variety chicken, beef and seafood. Also a 19.99 three course special, choice of salad, entrée and ice cream. We went with the three-course special.
Our entrée’s Pasta Napoli & Stuffed Tuscan Chicken:
Pasta Napoli, Linguine tossed in tomato’s, spinach, and mussels in a Basil al Olio. Mussels very tasty and tomatoes added some flavor to a sauce that was absent of any flavor, basil unnoticeable. Sun-dried tomato would have been better choice.
Tuscan Chicken, filled with roasted peppers, garlic, artichoke hearts and Ricotta. Needed more flavor as well. “filled” very modestly to add any significant flavor.
We did start with an appetizer, the Lump Crab & Artichoke and Spinach Dip served with corn tortilla chips. Dip was a fantastic blend of flavors, perfectly balanced. Large serving that two easily enjoyed.
Service was good, pricing on the higher side if you move outside of 3-course meal. We would return again, maybe even try the Hookah.
