Over the weekend visiting in the Yardley, Pa area we did a quick internet search for a dinner stop. Carlucci’s Grill was the closet location with what type of cuisine we were in search of. Busy location we waited a bit as we were a walk in. Some came in after us, (who we would like to assume had reservations) were seated before us. In all about a 15 minute wait.
Waitress delivered menus and took our drink order. All started with soups, seafood bisque and pasta fagioli. Both served nice and hot were excellent interpretations of two standards.
Entrees: Palm Beach Salad> super fresh and refreshing. We chose the grilled shrimp and loved how it contrasted with the mango. Downside, leaving the tails on the shrimp, many restaurants do it but a salad is not finger food, they should be removed. Great salad despite this we’d definitely recommend a try.
Chicken Parmesan> Large breaded cutlet that we found to be moist and tender. Balanced nicely with sauce. Sided with spaghetti, a gigantic meal that is sure to stuff.
Pizza Bianca> We chose with extra cheese. Thin crust that had big flavor. Blend of mozzarella and ricotta was creamy deliciousness. Great pizza is all we need to say.
Ravioli Bellini> Cheese ravioli served in a creamy pink sauce with spinach and topped with mozzarella cheese. Great presentation and and a great palate please. Expertly made, one of the better ravioli’s we have had.
Overall very good food. The downside the wait staff. A restaurant where there seemed to be many regular customers who garnered far more interest than us who were not, making you feel not welcomed, ruined a 5-star performance.
