After a day of shopping at the Moorestown mall, we found a great restaurant located right outside on route 38. The Corner Bakery Cafe serves breakfast and lunch items by an in-line ordering system with table delivery. We stopped in for a late lunch but chose to order breakfast after taking a look at the menu. We both ordered the same dish, the Anaheim Scramble, the picture and description were tantalizing. It is an omelet made with applewood smoked bacon, tomatoes, green onions, cheddar cheese and slices of avocado on top. We chose the potatoes on the side but unfortunately they were no longer being served after noon so fresh fruit accompanied the plate with 2 slices of hearty grain toast. The eggs were fluffy and flavorful with all of its ingredients, especially the avocado being a great addition to it all. The potatoes were missed but the fruit, a mixture of cantaloupe, strawberry, pineapple, grapes and green apple, was fresh and delicious. The bread was lightly toasted with available jellies and jams provided. Including drinks, both meals came to $22.00, definitely worth the money because it really was a wonderful breakfast/lunch.
The menu also listed several other breakfast dishes as well as lunches including paninis, soups, pastas, salads and many mouth-watering desserts. All of the choices on the menu provided unique and fresh ingredients with an emphasis on making healthier choices, including calorie counts for each listing. The Corner Bakery Cafe was a great find and we look forward to trying some of the soups, sandwiches and definitely desserts soon.
