Prime Rib Roast

5-6 lb Roast, allow to reach room temperature before putting in oven. Place on rack in baking pan. If you do not own a rack make multiple balls of foil place in baking pan and rest roast on top.

Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper

Bake preheated 200 degrees, increase temp to 350 degrees after 2 hours. Bring internal temp to 118 for rare, appx 1 more hour. Always use thermometer.

As always its all about preference. If you have different likes among your guests we carved and finished off some of our cuts in a cast iron pan for medium and medium well.
