March 11, 2017> Our second visit to Fusion Bay, seated immediately. Waited about 10 minutes for waitress to return to take order. Ordering Crab Rangoon, Fried Pork Dumplings, Hot & Sour Soup, Tom Yum Seafood Soup. The dishes came out to the table individually with both my companions, the Crab Rangoon and Hot Sour Soup first. Waited about 5 minutes or so for the Tom Yum Soup followed by the Pork Dumplings a few minutes later. All delivered by a very hurried and blunt waitress.
Tom Yum Soup was very spicy which was not marked on the menu. Broth rich tomato based the very spicy but not through entire bowl as it seemed to be on the top of soup. Shrimp large very tasty as were the mussels. A single scallop, that was large and flavorful. Overall enjoyed the flavor combo that included pineapple for some balance. Would of liked more seafood as was 3 shrimp, 2 mussels and a scallop.
Hot Sour Soup was okay, first time our companion ever tried and would have liked more of an explanation on the menu. Crab Rangoon was excellent as were the large sized dumplings.
Service was very abrupt and hurried throughout as the staff seemed very short-handed. Last time our visit was a 5-star experience but not today as the service was a big negative.

Another stop on Collingswood’s restaurant scene found us checking out Fusion Bay on Haddon Ave. Seated immediately and promptly waited on. Extensive Asian menu that also offers many sushi selections.
We started off with Poached Pork Dumplings. Fantastic is the word for these great tasting dumplings. Thin dough, that was stuffed with great tasting pork. Sided with a soy/vinegar dipping sauce that perfectly enhanced.
Our main dishes, Firecracker Beef and Korean Pork Chop. Both dishes were beautifully presented. The Korean Pork Chop served on a cast iron pan gave the feel as your were sitting right at a hibachi grill. Thinly sliced pieces of pork were very tender covered in a light sauce. Veggies of onion and pepper proportionally sliced were fresh and crunchy. Beef, superior flavor medium spicy, super tender and lean. Veggies lightly stir fried balanced out the flavors.
Also tried the baked Seafood Fried Rice. Topped with cheese and baked. Fish the main seafood component. This not the usual fried rice. Found more as a casserole. Very good flavors, cumin the standout spice. Enjoyable dish that breaks away from the traditional. Large portion that easily can be a side for two.
Great service, great pricing and excellent food. Fusion Bay is our first 5-Star Asian restaurant in quite some time.
