We stopped by the recently reopened Crystal Lake Diner for breakfast, visiting on a Wednesday. Seated immediately and promptly waited on we ordered a Garden Egg White Omelet, sided with fried potatoes and choice of bread. Omelet arrived at table in under 10 minutes.
Garden Omelet> onions, mushrooms, green peppers and tomato. Time was taken in the prep as the veggies were all relatively the same size. Mushrooms, of the canned variety were a bit over used, and also not very good. Very rubbery, with no flavor, a huge distraction that we picked through. Potatoes, nothing notable, could have lived without.
Welcoming location that is very bright and comfortable. Service was courteous and attentive. Pricing with coffee a shade over $12. I possibly would return again but I’d definitely avoid an omelet with mushrooms.
