In search for a healthy dining alternative? The Heart Beet Kitchen may be what the doctor ordered. “Locally sourced plant-based, gluten-free, dairy and egg free” restaurant serving lunch @ dinner, brunch Saturday/Sunday and a BYOB. Stopping by for lunch, order and pay at counter, grab a seat and your meal will be served. Comfortable seating with table and a long “family style” table. Also a conversation seating area with comfortable sofas/chairs.
Waited a few minutes for other patron orders to be taken then our turn. Ordered Veggie loaded pizza only to be told they were out of the cashew cheese drizzle that topped, asked if we wanted without. Declined and went with a Heart Beet Burger. Served on a gluten-free bun, overall good flavoring, loved what the horseradish ailoi brought to the burger. Avocado, tomato and sprouts finished off, all complementing one another. Sided with a Kale salad, dressed with orange tahini.
Comfortable and friendly establishment for the health conscious. The Heart Beet Kitchen also serves a variety of smoothies and fitness drinks. Service was very slow, we waited 20 minutes for our Heart Beet Burger to come to the table, which again was our second choice. Pricing with fresh brewed decaf tea under $20.00.
