Visited Houlihan’s in New Brunswick for lunch over the weekend. Seated myself at the bar. Immediately attended to by a bartender. Menu at bar seat already we scoured over the menu after ordering a draft beer. Deciding on the Kansas City Burger, which came with fries.
Order out quickly the dish was visually appealing. Fries crisp and flavorful, and plenty. Burger requested medium, but came out more like medium well. Juicy and stacked high with brown sugar bacon, onion straws, bbq pork, cheddar, topped with homemade barbecue sauce. Terrific flavor combo and nicely balanced ingredients. Homemade sauce was sweet with a small touch of tangy. Bacon was well above average in taste. Served on a pub style roll that was tasty but started to crumble under the size of the burger.
Service was excellent throughout the visit. Pub style menu with everything you would expect. Nice choices of craft beers on tap with bartender being helpful in our choices. Pricing in line with like establishments, $25.00 for 2 crafts and the burger. Clean, comfortable, good food, Houlihan’s delivers a good time. Check them out if you haven’t and let us know when you go.
