In the heart of Collingswood you will find the quaint il Fiore. We visited on a busy weekend night, calling ahead for a reservation. Seated promptly on arrival, wine opened (BYOB) we looked over the menu, deciding on Ravioli il Fiore , and Linguine Pescatora. Started off with with Insalata Caprese, and Tomato Bisque which was a special.
Insalata Caprese, mozzarella, tomato, basil and olive oil. Fresh, light delicious, and beautifully presented. Tomato Bisque, no cream added, was a light soup with bold flavors. Awesome, the only word to use, as I loved it.
Our main meals came shortly after the clearing of our first coarse. Ravioli il Fiore ( lobster ravioli) in a pink cognac sauce. Ravioli was perfectly cooked, big lobster flavor. sauce, rich and delicious. I have to remark on the lack of heaviness to the ravioli. Completing the meal, did not feel “stuffed”. The BEST, I have ever had.
Linguine Pescatora> choice of red or white, went with white. sauce on the thicker side for a white, perfectly coating each piece of seafood Menu stated”delights from the sea” and they were: Salmon, baby clams, mussels, calamari, shrimp. All delicious, tender, expertly cooked. Pasta screamed homemade was delectable.
Closed out our night with dessert, “this is the best” tiramisu I ever had. And a Creme Brulee cake that was simply spectacular!
If you want to experience the ultimate Italian dining experience, il Fiore is the destination. Fantastic food in a white cloth setting. Great service. Terrific pricing. Check out this gem in Collingswood and let us know your thoughts!
