Cape May’s Iron Pier Craft House, a place where you’ll find great food, a nice atmosphere and good people. Sounds perfect? Well it was! We sat at the bar and after looking over the beer list we got our beverage then worked on deciding what to eat. Iron Pier offers Sushi and a traditional menu with not so traditional twists.
Mussel’s> beautifully presented, the aroma was intoxicating, with other patrons nearby commenting on how good it smelled. Large serving of around 2 dozen. Spicy tomato broth, pepper confetti, andouille sausage, saffron aioli, and topped with a grilled flatbread. Mussels were tender and cooked perfectly. After that I am not so sure where to start, as the dish was fantastic. Flavor from the andouille sausage provided a wonderful smokiness that was balanced off with a terrific saffron aioli. Devouring the dish with plenty of broth left the bartender offered bread but we were stuffed. I love mussels and have never had them better! These will be on our to eat list the next time we return to Cape May.
Fantastic service, great atmosphere and excellent food the Iron Pier Craft House offers it all. We highly recommend a visit and let us know when you go!
