October 16, 2015 visit. Same friendly service that”ll keep bringing us back. Salad was fantastic! The Tuna sandwich needed a boost, celery? as it was basically tuna and mayo. Great pricing and very comfortable check out all our visits below, and let us know when you go!

Second visit for breakfast by another GFNJ staff member. Ordered their hungry breakfast, 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, also coming with toast and fried curly potatoes. Meats cooked perfectly as well as our requested over-easy eggs. Potatoes crisp, we added some salt and pepper which took away the bland. Second on the list the breakfast burrito. A nice offering that had some heat with the hot sauce. The sauce moved to the ends of burrito as you ate making very hot in some areas. They asked if we wanted sauce on side which I think I would do next time. Did enjoy and definitely would get again. Friendly service and comfortable atmosphere.

We have been anticipating the opening of the new breakfast/lunch restaurant, Kaffee Korner in Barrington, for weeks and finally we had the chance to try their food. We stopped in early for breakfast one morning along with checking out their menu. With several tasty choices, we made up our minds to try the Eggs Benedict, a fresh bagel, hot chocolate and coffee of course. The wait staff was attentive and put in our order quickly. While waiting for our food, the hot chocolate was served and the coffee area was pointed out, serve yourself with free refills.

The food served, the bagel came just as we like it, lightly toasted with plenty of cream cheese. We ordered a plain bagel but there are plenty of varieties that get delivered on a daily basis. Also plenty of options of flavored cream cheese. The eggs benedict comes with a choice of ham or bacon, we chose the bacon, coming on a open faced English muffin and side of potatoes.  The eggs were nicely poached sitting on a small bed of bacon and muffin, hollandaise sauce covering it. The sandwich itself was delicious but the hollandaise seemed very bland and almost watery, not what I’m used to in a hollandaise. The potatoes on the side were spiral cut with the skins left on which were crisped up nicely. They could have used a little seasoning and maybe cooked with some onion but overall I finished the plate, I did enjoy it! Hot chocolate and coffee, couldn’t go wrong, both made well.

We ordered a breakfast sandwich to bring home also. A egg and sausage sandwich made on a croissant but that wasn’t quite as tasty as the rest of our meal. The sausage was dried out and overcooked, and again could have used some seasoning on the eggs. The bill for everything came out to be a little under $20.

Tuna Salad Sandwich, needed dome celery to give it a boost.
