Our second visit to the Kaffee Korner in Barrington but this time we tried lunch. We ordered a BLT on white bread, a turkey and swiss panini and an order of cheese fries. The place was pretty crowded but our food did not take too long to be served.

The BLT came on white but the bread was not toasted, I don’t think I’ve ever had a BLT that wasn’t on toast. Nonetheless, we ate it anyway and it was good even un-toasted. The panini was turkey and swiss that was grilled perfectly but my only complaint was that it needed something. We ordered some mayonnaise to help the flavor but my choice would have been some kind of great sauce on it before it was grilled. The fries were spiral cut and smothered in cheese which is always good. They were unfortunately over-cooked on the outside and mushy on the inside.

My first review of the Kaffee Korner was that it really lacked seasoning and flavor in it’s breakfast. This much is also true with it’s lunch. Seems like this new place is still working out the kinks of the business. Our suggestion is to fine tune the flavors and seasonings of the food.
