After a nice day at the beach we found ourselves at the Marvis Diner, where we ordered breakfast for dinner. Seated immediately and quickly waited on we ordered > Western Omelette, Waffle with Strawberries and Bananas and French Toast.
The Western Omelette (egg whites) came with a side of fried potatoes, the omelette was nothing fancy pretty much what you can get anywhere. However, I have always assume that a “Western” omelette has ham in it but this one unfortunately did not. The fried potatoes had a few traces of onion that didn’t add much flavor, they were pretty boring.
The waffle with bananas and strawberries was quite good and we finished the entire plate. The waffle was crisp and smothered in fruit which left no real need for syrup. Some of the strawberries may have been too soft but overall it was a good meal.
The french toast was 2 large slices of challah bread covered in cinnamon. The spice was a little overwhelming but the toast was nicely crisped. A little too much cinnamon for our tastes so the dish was scarcely eaten.
Overall, the diner had the typical fares to choose from on the menu. The meal satisfied our starving appetites at the time. Maybe we will take another chance to try their dinner menu. Very nice staff and quick service the deciding factor on a return visit.
