Our first visit on a very busy Fathers Day, called ahead and was put on a list. Arrived on time, still waiting about 10 minutes for a table. Once seated, we remained unattended with our menus for over 5 minutes. Waitress arrived who stated she was not the planned waitress but took our drink orders. Another waiter delivered out drinks, with the waitress returning after a while to announce she would be our waitress, took our order. Buffalo Wings, Chicken Enchiladas, and Fish & Chips. Waitress returned to inform they were out of Fish & Chips, so we went for the Lamb Burger.

Wings arrived first, nicely presented, sided with celery and ranch. Wings were crisp, cooked perfectly, juicy and tender. Sauce a medium, a bit light on the heat. Wings were a also on the smaller side. Next time I’d probably move to a different style as I would not say they were anything beyond okay.

Chicken Enchilada’s> large serving that was also presented well. Chicken was tender and had excellent flavor. It did need something else though, corn, maybe black beans, something to give another different texture, as the dish came off mushy.

Lamb Burger> sided with awesome super thin show string fries! Burger was cooked exactly as asked, medium. Very juicy burger! Feta Cream Cheese added a nice contrast to the lamb. Caramelized jalapeno shallot relish, was very lightly used and disappeared in the other flavors. Arugula, another lightly used ingredient that we would have liked more of. Despite the shortages, they did not distract as I am a huge lamb fan, and really liked the burger. It all starts with a good roll, and the roll delivered.

After a few House Ipa’s and a couple of wines our bill rolled in at $80.00. Being left unattended for some time to start not a good beginning. Being short of menu items….we could overlook if everything was perfect. But it wasn’t, which is why we rate the Yard House in Moorestown, 3-stars. The waitress who was finally “our waitress” did a very good job and was attentive.
