December 15, 2015 Second Visit
Dinner time at the Nevada Diner. Seated immediately, wait staff was courteous and efficient through the meal. Ordered a Caesar Salad and special requested grilled shrimp instead of the chicken. Salad was large and well balanced with shaved Parmesan. Dressing on the side was super thick and did not pour over salad at all. Shrimp was grilled perfectly and spiced well. Tails left on, they need to come off.
Satisfying overall and believe they still come in as a 3-star establishment.
Modern diner/restaurant with a very nice outdoor seating area. Large extensive menu with daily specials. Ordering a late lunch we chose the Pepper Steak, served over a bed of rice. Also came with soup and dessert. Soup ordered the Potato Soup. We found uninspiring with little taste and the potatoes far too large.
Pepper Steak> Very tender meat and flavorful. Not what you would expect (chinese stir fry) in taste as meat more like a brisket in texture. Rice cooked perfectly, a great nest for the steak. Closed out with the bread pudding. Tons of custard, very little bread? Didn’t quite get how it would be referred to as bread pudding.
Service very fast, and friendly. Pricing moderate. Good overall experience, definitely would return back.
