Entering the main doors to pick up the meal I ordered over the phone, the bar is located to the left and the restaurant is through a separate door to the right. The bar seemed pretty packed and loud, the typical bar scene which was the complete opposite of the restaurant. From the entrance, the restaurant seemed very small but cozy, somewhere I would be interested in returning to give a try. The staff was very quick to give me my food and answer my questions about the hibachi portion of the menu. I found out that they cook the hibachi in front of the patrons in a separate room but the party must be six or more.

I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken dinner combo which came with either white rice or pork fried, broccoli and an egg roll. The egg roll was bland and needed to be dipped into the sweet/sour sauce for flavor. It also left behind a lot of grease. The chicken was also ok but not the best I’ve eaten. The sauce was a little sweet for my taste. The fried rice was good and I enjoyed it very much until I spotted a long hair in it after 3 bites and believe me the hair was not mine! This ruined the rest of the meal for me.

We also tried the Jumbo Shrimp with Chinese Vegetables. There were at least 10 shrimp in the dish with a nice variety of vegetables. Again, the flavor was ok but a little bland. I did appreciate the abundance of shrimp offered, though.

Our other dish was the Beef & Scallop with Broccoli in Oyster Sauce. This dish was actually very impressive. The scallops were delicious and the beef was very tender. The Oyster Sauce was mild and brought out the flavor of the beef and scallops. Would  have liked to see more beef/scallops and less broccoli.

Overall, the meal was ok but I don’t think it’s going to be at the top of my list of chinese food places. The menu does offer more choices than most places in this area but I am having a real hard time getting past the hair in my food.
