January 11,2018> In the area at breakfast time or second visit to the Palace Diner in as many weeks. Eggs Benedict was our order. Delicious Hollandaise the key, and the cook nailed it. Creamy and thick, great flavor. Eggs cooked perfect, we loved it. Great service again!

Visited the Palace Diner in West Berlin for an early dinner. Seated immediately in a comfortable booth. The diner is the normal set up of booths, tables and counter seating. Large menu of all the diner fare. Ordered Chicken Oscar, chicken breast (4) with asparagus, and crab in a hollandaise. Sided with 2 veggies or your choice of pasta we went with the pasta. Soup or Salad, we went with Soup.

Gigantic dish, large perfectly cooked chicken breast, plenty of crab topped with 1/4 cut pieces of asparagus. Sauce was thin, not much like a hollandaise but very good none the less. Balanced, tasty meal that we thoroughly enjoyed. Soup, a Yankee Bean was thick with beans. Nice smoky flavor. A hearty soup that a bowl of could easily satisfy.

My guest had Pasta with a Red Sauce and Italian Sausage. Digging in he commented a couple of times on enjoying, Also commenting on “this is a huge meal”.

Very good service, good pricing, and good food, this is what a New Jersey Diner is all about. Check out the Palace Diner in West Berlin and let us know when you go.
