High end Italian dining, this is a BYOB establishment with a large menu and daily specials. We started off with a Caesar Salad and Pasta Fagioli. Salad fresh ingredients with a light dressing that complimented well. The Pasta Fagioli, broth had a very rich flavor, loved the idea of small-sized pasta.
Ordering the Trio Alla Italiano in a white sauce. The shrimp was firm and flavorful as were the scallops. Crabmeat was perfectly spread out throughout the homemade pasta. White sauce had a nice touch of garlic that pulled the entire dish together.
The second entrée was off the day’s specials, Eggplant Parmesan with Gnocchi. The Gnocchi was some of the best I ever had, firm with great taste, definitely made to order. The Eggplant Parmesan was a disappointment. Cheese and sauce were the only flavors, with entirely too much breading we searched for the eggplant and there was little.
Other notable issues, bread and garlic/oil were on the table on arrival, the bread was burnt on the bottom which went unnoticed until we began to eat. The waiter also handed our soup to us instead of placing on the table, a potential disaster?
Overall a decent experience but our expectations were not met. Definitely has the makings of being more, maybe we were there on the wrong day.
