December 11, 2017> Returning to Sam’s Bar & Grill for dinner, seating ourselves at a table. Waitress attentive throughout, making recommendations, pointing us to the daily special board. Ordering off that board, Crispy Chicken Ranch Wrap, and two soups, Creamy Tomato and French Onion. Off the menu we ordered fries and a Western Burger.
“Awesome Wrap” was the proclamation of the waitress and boy she was right! Lightly toasted off, crisp chicken pieces, nice balance of lettuce, tomato and ranch dressing. Both soups were hearty and hot, perfect on a cold day. Western Burger had good balance, and nicely seasoned beef . Fries crisp! Very good visit, and an upgrade in stars from our first visit which was a 3. Pricing modest, and with a Save-around Coupon even better. September 23, 2015
Old school bar located on the Black Horse Pike. Currently construction taking place all around, Sam’s though remains open. Stopped for lunch, sat at the bar and was tended to immediately. Good size lunch menu with all the traditional offerings you would expect.
Wings> with Sam’s sauce, which is a nicely flavored buffalo sauce, mild. Wings not breaded, skin was crisp and chicken perfectly cooked through. Large order for the money, side of celery and bleu cheese.
Vegetable Quesadilla> Another large offering that we accepted the side of salsa versus the sour cream. Thick with the cheese blend, the vegetables, broccoli, onions, etc, were not evenly spread through each piece. One was mainly black olives which in the first there were none.
Bar service was efficient and friendly. Pricing reasonable. Took some time though for the food to arrive, about 20 minutes. Bar has daily specials during week, wings, mussels. Worth a look if you like this type of atmosphere.
