If you are in  search for authentic German food in New Jersey, Sebastian’s is where you will find it. What you will also find is great service from a friendly staff  dressed in traditional German attire (looking beautiful I might add). Seated immediately and promptly waited on I started out with the goulash. Slow cooked beef that was tender and moist perfectly blended with a flavorful tomato based broth. Goulash border-lined on a stew, that with a larger bowl I could have made a meal out of, a 5-star soup.

Our main dish the #5 Bratwurst Platter, with choice of fries or sauerkraut. We chose without a thought the sauerkraut and what a treat! Homemade with no doubt, having a mild sweetness that perfectly balanced the sour. On top were two large brats (Nurnberger Pork sausage), expertly grilled, flavorful and with a bit of mustard….I wanted to pick up my glass and sing Ein Prosit!

We closed out with the Apple Strudel which they asked if we wanted warmed, gladly accepting. A wonderful interpretation, sweet, flaky crust, a slice of heaven! The entire meal came in under $20.00, a super value for a SUPERIOR product.

If you are in search of authentic German cuisine, Sebastian’s Schnitzelhaus is the only place to go. Great food, fantastic service and beautiful surroundings, it doesn’t get any better than this! Great Job!!!! My Opa would be proud 🙂
