A return visit to Seven Star Diner, this time for lunch. Started with the soup of the day, Yankee Bean. Nothing special about the soup. Little flavor and/or spicing. Would not get again.
Signature Salad> many additions available. We went with the grilled chicken. Salad comes with bed of greens, cucumber, tomato, hard boiled egg, potato and cole slaw on either side. Very large salad that easily could feed more than one. Cole slaw was flavorless. Potato salad was equally uninspiring. Chicken breast was tender and cooked through but under-seasoned. Picking through the salad we found enough that filled us. The price $10.99 far too expensive for what we deem as just okay.
Chicken Salad Sandwich> choice of bread we went with rye. Another under-seasoned plate. Lettuce we removed as the crunch seemingly was the texture of unwashed lettuce (dirt?). Chicken Salad was okay after a bit of pepper thrown on.
Disappointed with our visit as the above came in at $29.00. Far too expensive for not so great food. A step down from our previous visit in 2013
