Splitz Bar & Grill, located in Laurel Bowling Lanes, modern location offering weekly entertainment. Visiting for lunch on a Saturday, Splitz had few customers making service quick throughout from a very friendly bartender. Ordered two items from their menu, Chicago Bratwurst and a Sampler Platter.
Sampler, came with onion rings, soft pretzels, coconut shrimp, and wings (choice of sauce we went with hot and honey) Nicely presented, sauce from wings did migrate onto the coconut shrimp. Side sauces one, bleu cheese, beer and cheese sauce was offered on menu. Wings were meaty and crisp, sauce nice heat and good mix of sweet from honey. Pretzels were soft, fresh and warm. Coconut shrimp (3) were very good. Onion rings large and cooked perfectly. Overall a good sampler that I’d definitely get again even without the dipping sauces.
Chicago Brat> Onions, tomatoes, cut small, nice amount of relish and mustard, fresh dill pickle. Brat was cooked perfectly and was juicy and flavorful. Roll, was dry and the chef cut all the way through so the “loaded” offering immediately feel apart. After a few bites all the toppings were on the plate and we were scooping with he remaining pieces. Very good flavor, poorly constructed hot mess that would avoid if I were to return.
Splitz Bar & Grill with a complete bar menu that should satisfy every appetite, worth a look if on a bowling trip or just out to eat. Service was very good, pricing with a couple of drafts, $30.00 before tip.
