Upscale restaurant located adjacent of the Red Hen. Beautiful and comfortable surroundings with a large fireplace burning. Sinatra and others of the genre in the background, simply a fantastic atmosphere. Service was very attentive throughout the meal, our server gets an A-plus.
Started with 2 salads, Caesar and Baby Beets. Caesar was crisp and plentiful we enjoyed. But the Baby Beets!! Greens in the middle with a mild dressing and pecans. On opposite sides of plate cubed beets and goat cheese balls that were encrusted in pecans(?). The flavors when combined were awesome. Beets and goat cheese marriage was a terrific creamy earthiness like we have never experienced! Highly recommend and this is one salad I will attempt to duplicate.
Our entrees, Crab Cake and Free Range Chicken. Chicken served over Kale with a mild broth under. Super crisp skin! The drum was cooked perfectly and juicy. The white meat was excellent in the center but the thinner outside portions were a bit overcooked and dry.
Crab Cake (s) served over spinach with a lemon remoulade. Large pieces of lump crab that tasted like it was right out of the ocean. Excellent spicing but with some filler. Lemon remoulade was spread across the crab cake would have rather had on side as it was a bit over powering.
Closed out with a super Chocolate Mousse Cake. Pleasing to the eye and more so to our palate. We shared and wish we didn’t.
Very nice location with a beautiful fireplace! service was top-notch and the food very good. Recommend a visit and let us know when you go!
