Located in the Haddonfield business district, The British Chip Shop is a modern location that offers outside sidewalk seating as well as indoor dining. Large menu that offers soups, sandwiches, full main meals and naturally Fish and Chips. Choosing Fish n Chips that came in 3 size offerings, 4, 6 or 8 oz we grabbed a 6 oz.  Fish that you would expect to be perfect and it was, flaky moist with the batter being a perfect compliment. The Chips very flavorful crisp and of good size, a higher end “fry” ouch sorry British folks.

The second meal we ordered  Mussels in Ale Broth, garlic and herbs married with English ale. Mussels (12 or so)were very fresh and all were opened! The broth was similar to a white wine/ garlic sauce, but a bit bolder. The garlic did over shadow the rest of the ingredients not that we minded. Choice of chips or bread, a lot of sauce we should have went for the bread.

Pricing under thirty-dollars, service was courteous and efficient. We sat in the outdoor sidewalk area, nothing notable. Inside clean and modern, on the dark side of lighting. Good experience, we would recommend a look.
