Downtown Woodbury recently added The Famous King of Pizza to their restaurant lineup. Large dining space that is modern, and comfortable. We seated ourselves and were promptly waited on. Waitress was courteous and efficient throughout.
Ordered a Chicken Caesar Wrap, All Italian Panini and at the “King of Pizza” a slice of sausage. Wrap and panini came with fries (a large amount too!)
Chicken Caesar Wrap was loaded with tender chicken and balanced perfectly with lettuce. Flavorful dressing that was expertly used. A terrific wrap that we highly recommend.
All Italian Panini> Huge offering of Sopresata, Prosciutto, Cappicola. Fresh Mozzarella, Sundried Tomato, basil and vinaigrette made this an Italian festival for the taste buds. Panini was totally cold which we did not like. Far too much meat. Vinaigrette provided a nice flavor but also made the panini wet and fell apart while we ate. Good flavors, just too much content.
Sausage Pizza, we tried a slice. They were not shy with sausage 🙂 crust was thin, flavorful sauce. Would inspire us to go for the whole pie next time.
Fries that came with meal were serviceable, nothing to set them apart or behind most others. Pricing acceptable for the amount of food as our bill totaled $24 with 2 drinks. Slice prices range from 2.10- 2.75 for Sicilian.
Large menu with all the traditional Italian offerings. Good overall experience. We would return.
