Restaurant and bar located in the Carroll Villa Hotel with indoor and covered outdoor seating. Reservations we think the way to go as restaurant is very busy and our table was available at  promised time.

Today we will start with the service portion of our dining experience. SUPERB! waitress was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable of the food as well as some history of The Mad Batter. Great job!

Ordered off the menu and had one of the specials of the day, grilled Halibut topped with lobster salad. Halibut was a nice thick piece that was grilled perfect. The lobster salad on top a wonderful blend of ingredients and marriage of flavors.

Cheese Ravioli’s home made taste sauce had a rich flavor. Just the right amount for a small eater.

Fish @ Chips, included were great tasting fresh fries that were crispy as we like them. Fish, nicely battered (with some mad batter?) cooked expertly, a fine interpretation of a classic dish.

Waldorf Chicken Croissant full of chicken, grapes and walnuts overflowing in a flaky croissant. The side salad was a generous portion of greens in a vinaigrette dressing . The entire platter was light, fresh and thoroughly enjoyed.

We closed out with a few excellent freshly made desserts, chocolate lava cake, and freshly made large chocolate chip and macadamia cookies sandwiching ice cream.

Overall a great dining experience as the food was awesome and service perfect. Pricing with a few drinks from the bar (3)  and specialty non-alcoholic drinks came in under a $130.00. Highly recommend a visit!
