Comfortable bar/pub that offers everything you would expect from the name, a huge variety of beer on tap. Daily lists of craft beers along with the everyday domestics. Stopping by we were treated to the Wednesday buck a shuck, oysters, 8 varieties to chose from, ours the Madhouse from Maryland. Served with vinegar, horseradish or cocktail on side, the oysters were well presented. Super fresh flavor exactly as described, lightly salty with just a hint of sweet.
The main attraction of our dining visit the Pork Belly Burger. Super blend of meats in the burger (brisket/short rib and chuck) fantastic rich flavor, super juicy. Honey glazed pork belly a bacon mans dream had crispness on the outside and wasn’t too thick where it would take over. Burger was finished off with roasted tomato, pomegranate mustard aioli, and smoked cheddar cheese. On a roll that did hold its own in flavor and more importantly stayed together through the entire burger. A super balancing act of flavors that was perfectly executed, making this burger a home run.
The complete package, great food, great variety of beers and a comfortable setting. And to top it off super service. A must stop.
