The Pub, an iconic restaurant located on the old Airport Circle has changed little over the years. With a gigantic menu to choose from, you might need more time than normal to look over the menu. That is if you do not know that they are known for their Prime Rib, which one of us did and they were the first ready. The Prime Rib cooked exactly the way we asked (medium) was tender with plenty of juice making au jus unnecessary. Meal also came with a potato of choice and veggie.
Chesapeake Chicken> Crab and Chicken, the chicken was moist and the crab had an excellent crust on top. The crab they did not wimp out on, filler? Not that the eye or taste buds could tell and another huge portion.
Burgundy Sirloin> Ordered medium and delivered the way I ordered, the sirloin was a bit tough on the edges but once in was excellent. Had a strong Burgundy flavor as you would expect by the name, became a bit too much toward the end. Served with a potato that was a bit hard.
Butterfly Shrimp> Crunchy breading and huge shrimp, they nailed it and would definitely get again.
French Onion Soup> Two of us ordered and we both thought was a bit too salty and the cheese needed to be a bit browner.
The service was excellent as we were seated immediately and quickly waited on. Lauren our waitress was attentive and came back often to check on us and brought us some fresh out of the oven corn bread which was fabulous. If you have been there before you know The Pub is huge and plenty crowded so with that said, Lauren deserves a round of applause….Great Job, great meals!
All meals came with the Salad Bar which had everything you needed and some extras you don’t always see.
