Traveling through Carneys Point around lunch time we came upon the unassuming Turnpike Inn, deciding to give them a try. Large open bar, lots of televisions for Sunday football, pool table. Comfortable location with a friendly staff that made us feel welcome. Small bar menu, daily specials, like 50 cent wings on Sunday and Wednesday, We ordered a quesadilla, and a “Jekyll & Hyde” 50/50 chicken and beef cheese steak, sided with fries.

Jekyll & Hyde was huge, tons of meat, blended with plenty of American Cheese. Very good sandwich that only could have been better if the roll was toasted off. Quesadilla was well made with a good amount of chicken spread out through with the cheese. Nicely balanced quesadilla that we have found few competitors. Fries, were not very inspiring coming off a bit greasy.

Service above average, and very friendly. The Turnpike Inn, a great place for a beer and a quick bite. If you are in the Carneys Point area put it on your list.
