Held September 27-28 at Lake Lenape Park in Mays Landing. The festival offered a wide variety of vendors, with some out of the genre completely (bath re-finisher?). After walking a bit and tasting a few wines from the many wineries, we chose on a few from Hammonton’s Tomasello Winery. Pinot Grigio and a Cranberry Moscato.

010 011 Lobster Roll offered by The Palm Atlantic City 2801 Pacific Avenue. Lobster pulled right from the shell fresh, on  a crunchy bed of greens pulled from the garden. Mayo with some added flavors was used on roll and not lobster. We didn’t get all the flavors in every bite. Excellent flavor, upscale idea that was easy to eat, a  FOUR STAR rating.

016  Resorts Casino was in attendance and were serving up some seafood specialties. We tried out their Corndog Prawns, lightly battered large prawns that were skewered and deep fried. The batter was surprisingly light, made from cornmeal complementing the prawns perfectly. Expertly prepared prawns that remained firm with batter browned perfectly. Served on top of some dry slaw, nice presentation that you would not expect at a outdoor event. Pricing  very reasonable coming in at only $7.00.       5 Star rating

018013 Mobile Caterers The Brick Works was at the festival and baking pizza’s to order for the festival. Individual 8 slice pizza’s for $7.00 we tried out their plain pizza. Ordered and ready in about ten minutes, the crust was thin flavorful, sauce a well-rounded pizza sauce. Expertly made, their pizza and ordering/service second to none as they were fast and friendly. Located in Galloway Township, New Jersey specializing in “Bringing the Party to You”  5 Star rating.

Star of the Sea Seafood, gourmet seafood supplier from West Berlin, New Jersey. Web-Site for all products they supply Previously frozen crab cake was fried up for us and served on a soft roll. Good flavor for a processed crab cake, not what we would make on our own as it had a lot of blended spices for our taste. 3- Star

Also present Atlantic Cape School of Culinary Arts, doing a demo of Fresh Mozzarella and Heirloom Tomato Bruschetta. A fifteen minute demonstration that gave you all the insight on how to make and present with other pairings. Samples and the complete recipe for all to try on their own. Well done informative as well as inspiring, GREAT JOB!

Festival was well organized having plenty of everything from wine to food. Entertainment was also present with a band playing on stage, and steel-drum music at another location making you feel as though you were on vacation. Waterfront Wine & Food Festival a fantastic event that was thoroughly enjoyable the entire day.
