Historic landmark restaurant with intimate dining that offers a wide variety to choose from. Seated immediately and prompt, courteous service, fine dining at its best! We started our meal with the Centerton Sampler, Clams Casino, Stuffed Mushrooms, Bacon Wrapped Scallops and Chilled Shrimp. Two of each making it a perfect choice for three. Fresh ingredients all being perfectly cooked with a nice presentation. Our favorite the scallops that were firm with super crisp thin bacon.
For the main courses we ordered the Char-grilled Pork Chop, Fettucine Primavera and Fried Shrimp Macadamia. Pork Chop was a thick chop that was perfectly cooked, very tender and juicy. Served with carmelized apples with a wild mushroom bread pudding, perfect balance with great flavor.
Fettucine Primavera a huge meal with fresh vegetables that were blended well throughout the entire dish. The only downside was the broccoli was cut on the large side and would have liked to have had smaller pieces.
Fried Shrimp were large and had great flavor! Loved the macadamia incorporated in the breading, it took the average shrimp dish to an extraordinary. Terrific raspberry dipping sauce. Nice sized offering that we ordered with twice baked potatoes which were on the dry side.
Dinner was finished off with a complementary dessert sampler that was plenty for the three of us. My favorite was the carrot cake, but all were very good. Super service the pricing is on the higher side but well worth the cost. The meals were top of the line and the surroundings made it a SUPERIOR dining experience.
