Historic location from the Revolutionary War,this former "hideout" is now the Bloomfield Steakhouse and Seafood House. Comfortable location, with bar and outdoor seating. Dining room is where we sat in the midst of a fireplace that I am sure in the winter would offer terrific ambiance. Large menu on the higher side $28-45 for entrees. Our tables order was from the special of the day menu, a Cowboy Rib-eye and Coconut Shrimp.

Rib-eye sided with a cheese, bacon, mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. Rib-eye was perfect, tender and delicious, well- seasoned. A 20 ounce steak that allowed for some to come home. Broccoli was fresh and a large amount that could have served two. mashed potatoes, far too much cheese made it a clump of ingredients that you had to search through to get the beloved potato. Coconut Shrimp, sided with a rice pilaf and mango salsa. Coconut dipping sauce for the shrimp was provided that was very good. Shrimp huge butterflied shrimp that had a perfect balance of coconut. Excellent were the shrimp and they should be on the regular menu. Sided rice pilaf was bland. Mango salsa, mango was too hard making the salsa come off flavorless and remarkably dry. My starter, Clams Casino had a nice balance. Clams very tender.A good interpretation that did need a better presentation.Salad that came with meal was fresh.House made Honey Mustard dressing was excellent. Service was attentive throughout the visit. Entree's were both very good with the sides coming in not so good. Pricing with two bar drinks before tip and a large slice of a good cheesecake, $ 138.00.
