Chickie & Pete's

Latest location of the much famed franchise Chickie & Pete's, located on Route 73 (former Champs location). Lunch time visit and with a group, we were seated immediately.

Large bar area, pub style seating, outdoor bar/seating area, and large tables with bench style seating. Menu, all the expected bar style food, also with a few surprises as the Seafood Chowder which was my starter. Thin broth with bold flavor. Seafood, two small clams, and two mussels. I get the shells but would rather see removed and add a few more pieces of seafood. My main was off the days special menu and recommended, Shrimp Taco's. Three in all, that were nicely displayed. Large grilled shrimp that were very fresh and flavorful. Balanced ingredients of corn, onion and tomato, a creama style sauce with a bit of a kick. I did remove the jalapeno after the first as they made it very warm. Very good taco's that I highly recommend. Service was fast, and efficient throughout. And YES I did have some Crab Fries!
