In our continued quest for the best wings New Jersey has to offer, Dooney's Pub was our latest stop. Large pub, with booth and table seating, booths having a small personal television.

Seated immediately, promptly waited on, looked over the extensive beer list, then the menu. Started with some wings, small order 10. New on the list Mango Habanero Wings and a Southwest Burger. Wings- Crisp skin, large wings perfectly cooked through and this a big deal as some were very large. Tender and juicy. Bold sauce, thick enough to hold on to the wing. Sweet with an impressive amount of heat, excellent balance. Very good wing, and it will be added to our finals at the end of the year for the GFNJ King of Wing. Southwest Burger- Pepper jack cheese, black bean and corn salsa, crispy jalapenos and chipotle mayo. Complex flavors. The crispy jalapenos were stacked on top and I did shy away from all of them, removing a few. Chipotle Mayo dominated over the pepper jack cheese. Burger, cooked to our specifications. Well spiced meat. Formidable and flavorful roll that held up to this stacked burger. Overall a good burger. Sided with fries which were okay, coming out closer to warm than hot.
