We sat on the outside deck overlooking the Driftwood Beach Club. It was really, really sunny and pretty breezy. In retrospect we should’ve sat inside or come earlier because well it was pretty crowded. The waitstaff was really, really busy. We were there for brunch on Spring Sunday.
Chicken and waffles- very soft and sweet- almost dessert like waffles.
The chicken was boneless- fried to a crisp but still moist inside. One
message to the chef @tonicharmellocooks - we need more pickled
watermelon or just a salad of the pickled watermelon. Please!
The scrambled egg flatbread, was cooked well and the eggs were fluffy. The Bene breakfast burger (with poached egg and hollandaise) was served on a nicely toasted English muffin. The mini pastry platter had a couple croissants, a couple small Danishes and a couple apple filled pastries. It was a bit on the dark side for my taste. The minis were saved with extra butter and were served with strawberry jam.
