An unusually warm day in January drove our taste buds to the Jersey Shore's Dukes Tavern & Tap in Pt. Pleasant Beach. Arrived a bit before three. Sat in bar area at a table, before the NFL Playoff's but got stuck in the large crowd as we were dining.
Would be mindful of this if you are looking for a calmer environment. Off the menu, Prosciutto Flatbread, Garlic Parmesan Wings and a Blackened Shrimp Wrap. The wings came first but they were Buffalo style, so after a short wait all the plates came at once. Wings, super crisp skin, excellent sauce and they were PLUMP! Perfectly cooked, an excellent wing.
Flatbread, was loaded with arugula. After we shook some to the side, we really enjoyed the flavors of thinly sliced prosciutto, and fresh shaved Parmesan. The Blacken Shrimp Wrap, lettuce, tomato, avocado, spicy remoulad, a home run. Wonderful flavor of the remoulad. Plump fresh shrimp, and crisp greens. This would be a choice that I would make again, and again.
Nice location that was clean and comfortable. Seemed to be understaffed as we had long absences, and no return for drink orders. Closed out by searching out the waitress for the check.
