Old-School Barrington Diner Restaurant

What is your idea of an old-school diner? My mind takes me to vinyl covered booth seating, chalk board menu specials, and a menu that’s short and to the point. This is also what the Barrington Diner on Clements Bridge Road has in store for your next visit.
Since 1972 they have been open and it doesn't seem much has changed at this dated (but comforting location). After stopping for breakfast I stopped back again, for breakfast and then a third visit for lunch.

CASH ONLY location that closes at 3 pm.

My breakfast visits, both included eggs, sided with potatoes. One with corned beef hash. The second visit with scrapple. Quick to the table, both were great! First visit the yolk was "not perfect" according to the waitress so they gave me an extra egg! Didn't see anything wrong, but hey thanks! Corned beef had nice flavor and was cooked perfectly. Scrapple on my second visit, thin cut how I like it, with excellent crust! Breakfasts were both very good and service perfect.

Returned for lunch a few days later ordering the meatloaf sandwich. Served warm with a touch of gravy. Added gravy came on the side which I generously used.

Tender nicely seasoned beef, on the heavier side of onion flavor. Very enjoyable. Served on a super soft roll, I'd get again.

Philly cheese steak, soft roll housed nicely seasoned beef. Cooked perfectly, little grease, a nice interpretation of an area classic.

Sided with good food and a heaping help of friendly I'm sure to be back.
