This beautiful restaurant overlooks the Navesink River in Rumson, NJ- also known as the Monmouth Riviera. In the front of the restaurant there is a great gas fire pit with teak bench seating where you can wait for your table and enjoy your cocktail. Salt Creek is almost always busy, so don't forget to call to make a reservation as they don't use OpenTable.

We had the artichoke and spinach dip served with chips- it was as hot as lava and delicious. I had the roasted chicken with double hash.

I skipped the rice or potatoes offered so I could have a double order of the kale and roasted butternut squash hash. The kale/squash hash is my favorite veggie combo there. My friend ordered the fried chicken salad. It was a typical green salad with pieces of crispy fried chicken on it. The honey mustard dressing served with it was a bit tangy, but was good. It looked great too.

The sweetest ending was the chocolate soufflé. Please remember to order your chocolate soufflé when you order your meal or appetizers. The soufflé takes about 20-30 minutes to cook. It is so worth it. Be sure to order scoops of vanilla ice cream and extra whip cream.

If you're gonna do it, do it right!

Our waitress Skye was so attentive! She had a trainee with her that night and they were both really knowledgeable about the menu. Skye's a keeper. :)
