The Diner Capital of America. New Jersey is home to approximately 525 (source: Wikipedia). Here at GFNJ we have been to many over the years, Breakfast, our meal of choice when visiting a diner.
The Silver Coin has the feel of the classic New Jersey diner, in looks, and menu.
We visited the Silver Coin Diner for a late breakfast on a casual trip down the Whitehorse Pike. Belgium Waffle, and Crab Benedict were our choices.
Benedicts are my personal favorite breakfast, all ways. Went with the crab version as it more represented the brunch time of the day. HUGE was the portion. Heaping mounds of crab covered in a perfect hollandaise.
Eggs were perfect as well, with a beautiful runny yolk, Sided with a very flavorful fried potatoes (we requested onions). A fantastic interpretation, the Crab Benedict is a must for the crab lover.
Belgium Waffle another large plate, had excellent flavor and would be one that we'd get again.
Great service, expected pricing, and excellent food. The Silver Coin Diner is a must for the NJ Diner lover.
