“Divebar” What quality would you need to experience for you to label a location such? Horrible surroundings? Lousy food? Suspect patrons? Well none of these apply to the Warwick Tavern, or “The Wick” as many area folks know it by.
But I will affectionately give it this label for one, reason. The dog which was wandering around the establishment. The Dog gave us a friendly greeting and an escort to our seat at the bar. He gave no recommendations.
Cheeseburger Wrap, and a Ranch Burger our order, sided with fries, cheese on side. Wrap was a home run, pickles, lettuce, tomato and thousand island rounded it out. Burger chopped up had nice seasoning and overall good flavor.
Ranch Burger, meat a bit over done and with no ranch to be found, a disappointment.
The pooch did visit us again looking for a handout but we declined. Service was polite and friendly, pricing in line for like establishments.
