Lunch on the #boardwalk at IG @spicy_seasideheights. Make sure you go on weekends. The Cantina is only open upstairs and is closed in the off-season. Be sure to visit the website before you go.

Seaside Heights Boardwalk

1. Chips and salsa- I was so surprised to see that neither the salsa nor the chips were house made. It did not stop me from eating them.

2. Tableside guacamole by Maddie. This is awesome! Something so simple as tableside service makes something so simple as guacamole... Outstanding!

3. House margarita on the rocks with salt and sugar. This was a good margarita. Heavy on the sour mix. I got the room with salt and sugar which was a good idea.

4. Chicken quesadilla. Very nicely seasoned chicken. It was a go go on the Adobo.

5. Steak street tacos with onions cilantro and cool blue corn tortillas. The blue tortillas were great! Besides looking very interesting, of course, they were not greasy and held together well.

6. Chicken chimichanga. This was another really well seasoned chicken dish. The outside of the chimney was crispy and light. It was not greasy at all.

6.5. Rice and beans. The rice are included vegetables and tasted fresh. I'm not big on refried beans so I did not try them.

7. Roasted pineapple frozen margarita. A lovely lady on the wait staff brought me over a sweet roasted pineapple (frozen) margarita. It was rimmed with sugar and I was pleasantly surprised to taste that roasted pineapple in the drink. Something I would definitely order again!

The manager came over after I was eating. Another very nice lady. She asked me if I had any feedback or questions about my meal. I guess they knew something was going on because I ordered so much food! The only feedback I had was that I feel like when a Mexican restaurant makes their own chips m- it like that's their identity. Having great fried corn or fried flour tortillas and fresh salsa just screams viva Mexico. The manager then explained after the pandemic they just kept these store-bought chips. But she humored me and was very kind when I suggested it would be fabulous if they made their own chips. In my opinion, it would also probably save them money to make them and their salsa in house.

This is definitely a good place to visit if you're on or off the boardwalk. The food was great, the atmosphere can't be beat it, and the wait staff was so nice!
